Thank you for subscribing to the Sinocism China Newsletter. Look for a confirmation email in your inbox from bill@sinocism.com and follow the instructions to confirm your subscription.
The current publication schedule is four issues per week.
The daily newsletter is switching to paid on or about October 16. After that date here will still be a free, weekly newsletter, to which you are already subscribed.
You can sign up early for the paid version here, your credit card will not be charged until October 16.
I frequently comment on the articles included, and those comments are in bold. I will often but not always give a quick translation of the headline or gist of a Chinese article. If I do not it is generally because it is so specialized that I doubt many of you would be interested.
Please make sure to tell your email client or service provider that Sinocism is a trusted sender, to avoid having it occasionally end up in the spam folder. If you use Gmail, check the promotions tab if you are not seeing the newsletter in your main inbox.
Gmail in particular has a very sensitive spam trigger so you may also want to create a filter to ensure receipt of the newsletter. To set up a Gmail filter please see these directions on the Google web site.
It is best if you can sign up using an email address other than one from Tencent, Netease or Sina. The Chinese email services tend to throttle messages sent from Mailchimp, the email service provider that powers Sinocism.
Please follow me on Twitter @niubi for status updates as well as interesting things I may post throughout the day.
You can read archived issues of the newsletter here.
Thanks again, I hope you find the newsletter useful.
