"Sinocism is the Presidential Daily Brief for China hands"- Evan Osnos, New Yorker Correspondent and National Book Award Winner
The China Leadership Monitor, a quarterly publication from the Hoover Institution edited by Alice Miller, my graduate school advisor, is one of my favorite academic publications on contemporary China. The Winter 2010 issue is out and I highly recommend it, especially the following articles:
Alan Romberg on Taiwan in US-China Relations “2010: The Winter of PRC Discontent”
Alice Miller “The Preparation of Li Keqiang”
Cheng Li “China’s Midterm Jockeying: Gearing Up for 2012. Part 1: Provincial Chiefs”

J-20 air-to-air capabilities may not be as good as the F-22, but Chinese operational objective for the J-20 is different albeit not on the playing field as the F-22. To be more precise, the American F-22 was designed as an air superiority fighter that goes after other aircraft using air-to-air missiles as its primary role. The ground-strike capability is the F-22’s secondary mission. On the other hand, the J-20 is a stealth aircraft whose operational objective is to pass through air defenses to kill the aircraft on the ground (air .bases) and air crat carrers
