One World, Two Internets

"Sinocism is the Presidential Daily Brief for China hands"- Evan Osnos, New Yorker Correspondent and National Book Award Winner

The Internet that the world ex China enjoys, and China’s, known in some quarters as the “Chinternet”.

The latest bit of press on this phenomenon is from a Time Magazine blog–Can China’s economy thrive with a censored Internet? – The Curious Capitalist.

I am actually considering writing a book about the phenomenon, with the working title “One World, Two Internets“. Anyone interested, drop me a line.

  1. Sounds great. I think you should broaden it–there won’t just be 2 internets. As China exports its internet and telecom control tech to other states, there are going to be many internets…. ohhh your book could be called “splinternet” come on you gotta admit thats good. -n
